KINGS OF CONVENIENCE
Quiet Is The New Loud
7.30pm, 16 Mar
Indie-pop duo Eirik Glambek Bøe and Erlend Øye’s vocal harmonies and intersecting guitar work add atmospheric depth and rhythms to their intimately phrased pop songs. These goldsmiths of a bucolic brand of pop were thrust into the public eye in 2001 with a magnificent debut album Quiet is the New Loud which sold more than 200,000 copies worldwide, garnered strong reviews and a cult following to boot. Kings of Convenience is credited for spearheading the New Acoustic Movement, in the tradition of Simon and Garfunkel and Nick Drake. Fans of Belle & Sebastian and Elliott Smith would likewise be seduced by these sweater-clad dreamers.

Indie-mand
7.30pm - 2am, 16 Mar
They're really in demand, and no wonder! Bursting with energy and raring to go are some of Singapore's very own indie-bands. With a lineup of Pulse, Awi Rafael from Rafe and Ronin, followed by a late after-hours party with indie-spinmeisters, Pop Tart, it's a formula to be INDIE-mand!
