Consider this a showcase of Singapore's music titans. Jazz Fingers boasts the talent of Rick Smith (jazz guitar), Christy Smith (double bass), Paul Ponnudorai (guitar), Andrew Lim (guitar), Mei Sheum (keyboard) and Nial Djuliarso (piano).
Rick Smith and Christy Smith are both resident musicians at Harry's Bar, and turn out a sizzling performance born of individual talent and great chemistry.
Andrew Lim's warm, lyrical sound brings to mind music giants Grant Green and Wes Montgomery but behind it there's still his persona - modern, progressive, exploratory.
Mei Sheum, a.k.a. Mei-Mei caresses the keyboard with such passion and emotion that it's no surprise she is the pianist of choice for many of Singapore's best-known vocalists including Kit Chan, Jacintha and Tania and foreign artists like Keiko Lee and Andy Hui. In the US, she studied and performed with top jazz artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Ernie Watts, Eric Marlenthal, Jim McNeely, Mark Levine and Hal Galper.
