Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay
Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay is one of the world's busiest performing
arts centre, officially opened on 12 October 2002. This architectural and
cultural icon, with its striking twin shells, sits on six hectares of prime
waterfront land by Marina Bay, part of Singapore's civic district
comprising other heritage, arts and entertainment facilities.
Esplanade houses world-class performance spaces, supported by a comprehensive
range of professional support facilities and services. Its programmes
cater to its diverse audiences. The Esplanade Presents brand carries
the mark
of quality, and programmes span all genres to encompass music,
dance, theatre and visual arts, with a special emphasis on Asian culture.

Esplanade Concert Hall

Esplanade's crown jewel is its 1,600-seat Concert Hall, which boasts
superb acoustics by world-renowned acoustician Russell Johnson of
Artec Consultants
Inc, USA. The hall can host a diverse range of musical performances
and has been acclaimed by top performers around the world.
Among its adjustable acoustic features are reverberation chambers and
an acoustic canopy that enables the hall to effortlessly adapt to different
music
genres and cultures without compromising quality.
The Mosaic Club at Theatre Studio 
The Mosaic Club offers a unique setting for audiences to prolong
their evenings. This highly-adaptable performance space can take
up to 220 people and is the place for late-night jamming sessions
and chill-out ambience at the festival.
The Studio
The fan-shaped Studio seats up to 245 people and is perfect for intimate
musical performances. The Studio lends itself to amplified
and acoustic performances - from its timber flooring to its wall
and ceiling finishes, audiences will enjoy superb sound quality. Also the
venue
for
workshops and festival screenings.
Nokia Music Station at Esplanade Outdoor Theatre
Located along Esplanade's waterfront, the Nokia Music Station is
one of Esplanade's two main outdoor performing venues for the festival.
Set against the backdrop of a dramatic city skyline, with tiered steps
curving toward a sunken performing space, the stage at the Nokia Music
Station will host everything from blues and jazz to pop-rock and punk.
Nokia Powerhouse at Esplanade's stage@powerhouse
The Nokia Powerhouse is located at Esplanade's other main outdoor
performing venue. This open-air facility will liven the other end of the
waterfront with high-energy acts from rock and roll to ska and Latin jazz.
Jendela - Visual Arts Space
Jendela (Malay for "window") is Esplanade's 216 sqm dedicated visual arts gallery offering views of Marina Bay. View colourful exhibits that demonstrate the process of making art - whether music or theatre or visual - in support of the rest of Mosaic Music Festival.
