Who can apply?

1. The masterclasses are open to any Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents or international semi-professional or professional musicians 18 years of age and above.

What should I note about the application form?

1. All the masterclasses offered are listed in the application form. Please select no more than 2 sessions and rank your choices in order of preference.
   
   
2. Please include a résumé along with the application form. Information pertaining to academic training and relevant performing experience should be listed. Reference letters, audio /or video samples are welcomed but NOT required.
   
   
3. Please indicate your primary instrument in the application. This is especially crucial if you play, and intend to apply for masterclasses for more than one instrument.
   
   
4. We only accept one application per candidate so please ensure that all information is accurate before submitting.
   
   
5. Any and all information submitted will be kept in the strictest confidence and will only be used internally for the selection process.

How do we select?
[The selection panel will comprise members of the Mosaic Music Festival programming team.]

1. All applications will be assessed based on the musician’s performance proficiency, as illustrated in the résumé provided.
   
   
2. If you have applied for masterclasses for more than one instrument, emphasis will be placed in the consideration of the masterclass you have selected for your primary instrument.
   
   
3. In the spirit of providing opportunities for as many qualified musicians as possible, we may not be able to offer more than one masterclass to each successful candidate. As such, please choose and rank carefully your preferred choices.
   
   
4. Any and all decisions made by the selection panel is final.

When will I know if I’m selected?

1. All applicants will be notified via email if they have been selected for the masterclass.
   
   
2. Successful applicants are requested to confirm their attendance with full payment no later than 15 Feb 09.  If payment is not received by this date, we will release the spot and make it available to other wait-listed musicians.
   
   
3. Please note that payment is non-refundable, and spots are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend the masterclass after making payment, please contact us immediately and we will endeavour to find suitable replacements.
