Café del Mar
Café del Mar in Sentosa has a 6,000 sq ft air-conditioned bungalow and generous outdoor grounds dotted with spacious beds and cabanas. Surrounded by palm trees that give the bar/restaurant a sense of exclusivity, the place also has two Jacuzzis, a pool with bar and stretches of sandy beach.
Lunchtime at the indoor restaurant makes for a great break from work. In the evening, wind down on the beds by the sea. The bungalow interior has Café del Mar's signature blue, white and pink with gold trimmings, multi-level beds and an island bar. Cuba Libre
The Cuban Bar and restaurant focuses on all things Latin, from the décor to the music, to the food items. Sprawled over almost 2,000 square feet in Clarke Quay, this bar is a pleasant respite with its lively colours and laid-back furniture designed to create an overall Caribbean feel.
The first thing that strikes you as you walk into Cuba Libre is the huge wrought iron outline of Che Guevara above the main bar. However, from the bar stools, you'll realize that they are actually designed to look like Congo drums. The signature cocktails are the Cuba Libre with rum, coke and lime and the El Presidente made of rum, pineapple juices and grenadine. Other cocktails include variations of Margarita, Pina Colada, Daiquiri and Sangria. The Cuban beers- Cristal and Bucaneros are a must try too.
