With a voice best described as sweet, sweet clarity, Youn Sun Nah is said to be one of the best young jazz vocalists in the international arena. When she sings with talented young Paris-based jazz musicians – Laurent Robin on drums, Yoni Zelnik on double bass, David Neerman on vibraphone and Benjamin Moussay on piano – they form one of the most exciting young jazz combos in the jazz scene today.

Besides garnering great critical acclaim for its performances as a quintet, the individual members are all accomplished musicians in their own fields. So when all five perform together, the result is a mature and thoughtful approach to music, with a beautiful enunciation of musical and emotive nuances.

Youn became the first woman to win the grand prize at the Antibes International Jazz Festival in 2005, and her latest album, a mélange of jazz and French chanson, So I Am, was among the top ten on the French charts.
